Yesterday, LeBron James has finally delivered on his promise to Cleveland – a win an NBA championship. The Cavaliers conquered seemingly insurmountable odds as they faced a 3-1 deficit going into Oracle Arena for Game 5. Three games later, they’re hoisting the Larry O’Brien trophy and LBJ gets his third Finals MVP award. Congratulations to Tyronn Lue and the rest of the Cavs for a well-fought battle!
I am still a fan of Stephen Curry and the Warriors, though. Contrary to what some people might think, basketball is not his life. Yes, it’s one of the things he does. He’s good at it and he earns a living through it. His endorsement deals came as a result of his love of the game. However, Steph is, first and foremost, a Christian. I am not saying this to glorify Christianity as a religion. In any case, Christ is the reason why #30 is where he is right now.
Anyway, I can’t wait for next season and see what Golden State does. They’re coming off a 73-9 season without winning the championship. It’s curious to see how Steve Kerr and the rest of the Dubs will bounce back.
